To ensure every academic staff and Residential College staff exercises academic freedom in a responsible manner and strive for the highest level of professionalism, these guidelines were established in governing their ethical commitment to UM and the society, commitment to students, commitment to scholarship, and commitment to colleagues.

Guidelines for Strengthening Ethical and Professional Conduct among Personnel in Higher Education Institutions

To facilitate the strengthening of ethical and professional conduct among personnel in higher education institutions, the Education and Youth Development Bureau has implemented the Guidelines titled “關於高等院校加強人員道德及專業操守建設工作指引 ” (Translation: Guidelines for strengthening the construction of ethical and professional conduct among personnel in higher education institutions), to this aim, UM establishes these guidelines to ensure staff members to engage in teaching, research and other activities with an attitude of patriotism, dedication, honesty, friendliness, justice, equality, and responsibility, making positive contributions to the development of the country and the region.
